Funding member of Women’s Association for Peace and Development, Ms Massaran Traore has a strong expertise in conflict sensitivity and human rights mainstreaming in natural resources governance in the West African region. One Billion Rising Coordinator for Mali since 2019, she has contributed to raise awareness on domestic violence, Femicide, COVID-19 and women’s rights. Within the Alliance for Research and Integrated Development, Massaran coordinates programs on gender mainstreaming in natural resources governance. As program Officer to the Office of the AU Experts Committee on child rights and welfare, she worked in developing inclusive dialogue processes with decision makers at the regional level with regards to child protection conventions. Ms Traoré holds an MSc in international development from the University of Reading. She is a successful KAIPTC-WPSI and the Inspiring Africa Women Leaders 2019/2020 cohort and FemWise member. Massaran is fluent in French and English.
