Bio
• Graduated from the University of Khartoum
• Completed accredited training in occupational medicine in the UK- Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine London and MSc the University of Manchester
• Practiced the full spectrum of OH in the UK and was an Honorary lecturer in occupational medicine with the University of Manchester UK
• Worked as a Senior Consultant in OH in Abu Dhabi.
• Was appointed the Federal Minister of Health for the Sudan and remained in the job until November 2021. During the tenure of the role, he worked with colleagues and international health partners to rebuild the healthcare system and promote and expand OH in the Sudan and the region.
• Founded the Centre of Occupational and Environmental Health Africa in Kigali
• Currently engaged in capacity building for OH in East Africa through COEHA and the Irish Faculty of Occupational Medicine
