The Delve Exchange is a truly global network, spanning six regions and connecting artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM) from around the world. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and shared learning, and our regional approach ensures that the unique needs and challenges of each area are addressed.
Each region is a vibrant hub of knowledge exchange, facilitated by dedicated coordinators and supported by our university partners.
Our dedicated Knowledge Exchange Coordinators are the heart and soul of the Delve Exchange. They are ASM experts and community leaders who work tirelessly to facilitate knowledge sharing, build relationships, and empower miners in our regions.
Manuel Reinoso
Manuel is the Knowledge Exchange Coordinator for Latin America. He is from Peru.We have dedicated Delve Exchange ambassadors from Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, as well as two ambassadors from Colombia, including Afro-Colombian miners.

Aida Tamboura
Aida is the Knowledge Exchange Coordinator for Africa (French-speaking). Aida is from Burkina Faso. In this vibrant region, we have members from across Africa’s 29 French-speaking countries. Delve Exchange has the total commitment and support of Women in Mining Associations in Burkina Faso, Niger, Cameroon, Guinea, Togo, Benin, Mali, Senegal, Niger, and the DRC.

Blessing Hungwe
Blessing is the Knowledge Exchange Coordinator for Africa (English-speaking). Blessing is from Zimbabwe. This is our fastest-growing region, with a thriving community of generous female miners happy to share their stories. The countries represented include Zimbabwe, Zambia, Nigeria, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana, Mozambique, Kenya, and Ghana.

Lister Balegele
Lister is the Knowledge Exchange Coordinator for Africa (Swahili-speaking), our new regional group for 2024. Swahili is spoken in 8 African countries, including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and the DRC.

Rana Sengupta
Rana is the Knowledge Exchange Coordinator for South Central Asia. Rana is from India. This region has ambassadors from India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In India, the major concern is silicosis among sandstone quarry workers in Rajasthan. The widows of silicosis-affected quarry workers participate in Delve Exchange from one phone in their villages.

Dian Anggraeni
Dian is the Knowledge Exchange Coordinator for Southeast Asia Pacific. Dian Anggraeni is from Indonesia.
Indonesia has the largest membership of any country in Delve Exchange, including hard-to-reach groups who regularly meet sharing one phone. There is a large community of manganese miners who regularly share their stories and the challenges of an unstable market. Other countries represented in this region include the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Myanmar.
